Life !

Life is something that comes to pass
As we journey on each day,
Which despite what we may have planned
Not always comes that way.
For often it takes a sudden detour
When we least expect it to,
And we're left wondering, God what is happening
And also what do we do.

At times it catches us so unawares
And far from prepared to cope,
And in those times of despair we find
God is our only true Hope.
While we may have made some plans
Life takes its course each day,
Bringing some of those plans to pass
Yet sometimes it is not that way.

For at times we have to find our feet
And think things through again,
Make new plans and set new goals
Amidst much sadness and pain.
Yet all the time life carries on
And with it we must too,
Make various changes along life's way
Amidst all life takes us through.

All the time we must never forget
That with us God does abide,
Moment by moment, day by day
He walks close by our side.
To be our strength when we are weak
When we fall and cannot stand,
To be our Guide along life's road
As we hold onto His Hand.

Beyond !

Beyond today, beyond tomorrow
Beyond its joy, beyond its sorrow,
Life's road will take us at times where we
Amidst all we planned, had not not intended to be.

For at times life will take us to places where
Before we were there we were well unaware,
That eventually in time there we would abode
For a period of time along our life's road.

Be it for a long time or but for a day
For no matter what we plan life so has its way,
And we have no option but to as life passes by
To accept what has happened, yet still we ask why.

Why such has happened when we don't understand
Why we feel so bewildered amidst the circumstances at hand,
When all along we planned to be elsewhere
Or what has occurred has caught us well unaware.

Bringing upon us what we 're forced to embrace
Through no choice of our own, now face to face,
Yet through it all God is ever close by
To bring good out of what's happened for both you and I.

By Your Grace !

O Lord by Your Grace, by that and no other way,
Can we so enter into, what You've promised will one day,
So come to pass in time, for all who look to You,
As their Lord and their Saviour, Provider and Friend too.
Who You'll walk with daily and for them provide,
All of their daily needs, as in You they abide,.
Who will so uphold them, when they can no longer stand,
In their own strength, as they take hold of Your Hand.

Your Hand of true Love, that shall never go away,
But will help them grow stronger, as we look to You each day,
As we look to You in faith, as we hold onto You,
As we walk on victoriously, amidst all we go through.
Looking not to either side, with our eyes steadfast,
Upon You my Lord Jesus, as life by us, does pass,
Yet as it so does, we know thanks to You,
You gave of Yourself everything, for me and others too.
That we live on in hope and trust one day we'll be free,
From the bondages of sin in life, for all of eternity.

Lord Of Mercy, Lord of Grace !

Lord of Mercy, Lord of Grace
How could we each daily face,
All that life's road may bring our way
If not for the fact, You're with us each day.
As our Provider, our Comforter, our Friend
Whose unconditional Love indeed has no end,
Our Guide, our Strength, our daily Shield
In our walk each day as to You we yield.

As we yield to You everything of our own
As we lay them before You at the foot of Your Throne,
As we press on by faith whether or not we understand
Being guided we trust by Your outstretched Hands.
Your Hands of Love, of Mercy and Grace
That is there to guide us amidst all we each face,
Wherever life's road may so take us to
As we walk on by faith, with hope and trust in You.

Lord By Your Grace Alone !

Only O Lord by Your Grace can we
Ever hope to one day be free,
Only O Lord by Your Grace can we stand
As we by faith hold onto Your Hand.
Your Hand of Love, Your Hand of Grace
Your Hand of Mercy that enables me to face,
Life's daily journey with its ups and downs too
No matter what life's road may so take us through.
As we look to You Lord by faith every day
Amidst all that life may so bring our way,
As we look to You, our Saviour our Friend
Our daily Provider from beginning to end.
Our source of indeed everlasting
That enables me and others to daily cope,
No matter the toils I may have to so face
As I walk on in faith upheld by Your Grace.
