The Way of the Cross !     The Blood Of Christ !

MAIN  HOMEPAGE          The Cross  Texts             The Cross Inspiration Poems   A  B  C  D  E

In the adjoining pages I have included a number of poems that I have been  inspired by the Holy Spirit in my walk with my Lord to write over  the years.

They are written regarding the Way of the Cross and the Blood of Christ, which I believe is the basis of my walk as a Christian.  I trust and pray that they will be a help and inspiration for everyone who should so choose to read them. God Bless!

But God forbid that I should glory, save in the Cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world.      Galatians 6:14

If we ask anything according to the Will of God, He hears us. 1 John 5:14

God has given every person including you and me a freewill to make choices for ourselves and He will never go against our free will. What God is looking for is a people who will yield their will to Him, in order that He may them pour out His Blessings upon them, for He in His Love has an abundance of blessings to pour out upon all flesh that is yielded to Him. Are you my friend willing to say:

I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless it is not I who lives, but Christ Who lives in me.    Galatians 2:20

Across The Chasm !
The chasm between death and resurrection life
Can only be crossed, by the Cross of Christ,
By the Atoning Power of His Blood shed that day
When sin and death’s power, was forever taken away.
When sin and its power was defeated once and for all
Sin that had man in bondage, since Adams fall,
When then thanks to Jesus Christ, who died for our sin
As our Redeemer and Saviour, eternal life was birthed within.

Resurrection Life

New life that is eternal, yes that will never cease to be
That we’ve been given access to, through the Cross of Calvary,
Whereupon Christ’s Precious Blood, has closed the great divide
Between both earth and Heaven, for all who in Christ abide.
For all who would acknowledge Him, as their Saviour and King
As Lord of their life daily, yes Lord of everything.
That our Lord Jesus Christ, would allow to come our way
In order that we would acknowledge Him, as Lord and King everyday.

At Gethsemane while Jesus prayed, sweats of His Blood oozed from His being,
Then lead by Judas soldiers came to arrest Him, having betrayed Him as had been foreseen,
By Jesus at the time of the Last Supper, when He said, "Go do what you must do",
To Judas as Jesus sat with all the disciples, for He knew what He had to go through,
For only thirty pieces of silver Judas sold, to the Romans, Jesus Christ our Lord that day,
Who came with force to arrest the Man, whom Judas so chose to betray,
Arrested they lead Him away to Caiaphas, the High Priest with the elders and scribes,
Where two witnesses came and before them stood, and against Jesus falsely testified.

Accused of blasphemy, so deserving of death, before Pilate they sent Him in fear,
Hoping he would have Jesus put to death, before the Passover as it drew very near,
Then after much questioning, Pilate cried out, as Governor of Judea that day,
"As part of your custom should I release to you, Jesus, 'King of the Jews', today."
For in Jesus, Pilate could find no fault and sought to have Him released,
Then the people cried out, "no not this man", but Barabbus, a murderer and thief,
Then Pilate took Jesus and scourged Him, and the soldiers placed on His head,
A crown of thorns, that inflicted much pain, and put on Him a purple robe to wear.

"Crucify, yes crucify Him", with a fervour much stronger than before,
Wiping his hands of the matter, Pilate in fear, had Jesus to be taken away,
To be nailed to the Cross of Calvary, on the Passover's Preparation Day.
Whipped and flogged as Jesus journeyed, along the streets narrow and worn,
Bearing the Cross He was mocked and spat on, by some, while others for Him mourned,
As He was lead away with His Cross to bear, in His weakness when He fell once again,
Simon, the Cyrenian was made to help carry, the Cross of Jesus amidst all His pain.

That the journey to Golgotha, the place of the skull, had caused for Jesus to embrace,
The journey to His death only hours away, that He knew He yet had to face,
Where nailed to the cross, hanging in pain, He then cried out to His Father God above,
"Into Your Hands I commend My Spirit, it is finished, this path I have trod".
Between the sixth and ninth hour darkness covered the land, the veil of the temple was rent,
As Jesus cried out yielding up His Spirit, and His life in His body upon earth was spent,
The earth it trembled with a mighty quake, and fear so covered the land,
As drops of Christ's Blood fell to the earth below, from His Body, His Head, Feet and Hands.

Then before Passover, taken down from the Cross, He was buried in a tomb not far away,
Taken by Joseph, a rich man from Arimathea, wrapped in clean white linen that day,
Then after three days there came the great news, when Mary Magdalene came to the tomb,
Only to find that Jesus had indeed risen, as if born a second time from the womb.
Yet not again a child but now a King, Who had finally conquered death and sin,
Having opened the Door to Everlasting Life, for all those who would by faith trust in Him,
Then for forty more days with His disciples He walked, before He ascended to Heaven above,
Then upon the Day of Pentecost He sent the Comforter, to watch over and guide us in Love.

That we too might come to that place in our lives, where Jesus will have the victory,
Over the power of man's fallen state, forever to then be made free,
So now upon this and every Easter Day, we give thanks in memory of You,
For all that Lord Jesus You've done for each of us, having endured all that You've been through.
For having made a Way by which we all, who believe in You so then may,
Partake of the Eternal Life You've destined for man, through You, the Truth, Life and the Way,
Yes through You our Lord Jesus Christ, the Beloved Son of our Father God,
Who sent You to earth to so become The Way, back to Him through His Mercy, Grace and Love.

Earthen Vessels !

We who were but earthen vessels, were once broken but now made whole,
By Jesus who reached down in Love, as the Redeemer of our soul.
So cast your burdens upon the Lord, He will meet your every need,
Lay your burdens at the foot of the Cross, He will comfort you indeed.
Only as we surrender our all, unto Jesus Christ our Lord,
Can we hope to daily live in Hope, as we so feed upon His word.
So cast your burdens upon the Lord, He will help you bear the load,
Lay your burdens at the foot of the Cross, as you walk this winding road.

Only as we daily yield unto Him and wait on Him and pray,
Can we hope to be victorious in, all He takes us through each day.
So cast your burdens upon the Lord, He will help you bear the strain,
Lay your burdens at the foot of the Cross, He will help you cope with the pain.
Then as we reach out to others, can God's Love so work through us too
In and through our lives each day, whatever life takes us through,
As we acknowledge that in ourselves, we are too weak to stand and press on
And that as to the Cross we bring our burdens, God through Jesus Christ will make us strong.

Only Can We Lord !

Only by Your Grace can we enter in O Lord, only by Your Grace can we stand,
Yes in Your presence each day O Lord, as You uphold us in Love by Your Hand,
Only by the Blood are our sins removed O Lord, so that before You we now stand clean,
For by the Atoning Power of Your Blood O Christ, will our sins be no longer seen.
Only by the way of the Cross O Lord, can we find True Everlasting Peace,
For only by the Cross of Calvary, comes a Peace that shall never cease,
Only as we lay at the foot of the Cross, our failures whatever they may be,
And so commit them unto You Lord by faith, can we then hope to be free.
Only as we acknowledge You as our Lord, in our life amidst all that we face,
And look to You also as our Eternal King, can we stand upheld by Your Grace,
Not for a moment in time but eternity, redeemed in Mercy back to our Father God,
By the Way of The Cross of Calvary and the cleansing Power of Your Blood.

Upon The Cross My LORD !

Upon the Cross so long ago, upon the Cross of Calvary,
You my LORD in Your great Love, gave Yourself for me,
You took upon Yourself all my sin, so that LORD I might be free,
LORD You conquered both sin and death, for all eternity.

And so dear LORD I give You thanks, for Your Love for me each day,
And may that Love so shine through me, to others along the way,
That they too will come to know, You LORD as I do,
That together we may praise Your Name and truly honour You.

That our lives may LORD each day, speak clearly of Your Grace,
Your tender Mercy and abundant Love, in life amidst all we face,
As we go forth in our lives, mindful of the Cross of Calvary
Upon which You gave Your Life, to set all of creation free.

O What A Wondrous Story !

O what a wondrous story, O what a sheer delight,
That my Jesus You are who You are, my Lord both day and night,
O what a wondrous story, O that You died for me
Having conquered death for evermore, after Your death upon Calvary.

O what a wondrous story, O that You rose after three days,
Alive again and for evermore, may I never lose sight I pray,
That my Lord You out of Love, gave Yourself one day for me,
Having as my Saviour, my provider and friend, from death's sting so set me free.

As Lord To You At Calvary !

As Lord to You at Calvary, in my mind I so look on,
Seeing You hanging there for me, somehow does make me strong,
As Lord to You at Calvary, in my mind I can see,
All the suffering, all the pain, You endured my Lord for me.
As Lord to You at Calvary, I look on and see new Hope,
That enables me with life's demands, to face and with them cope,
As Lord to You at Calvary, I see what on the Cross You did bear,
In order to set me free from sin, as for me You so did care.

Gave Yourself for me that day and each day continue to do,
As Lord to You at Calvary, I see You're no longer there,
For You've conquered sin and death, by what You Lord did bear.
In order that all those who like me, put their trust in You each day,
As their friend, their Lord and Saviour, The Life, the Truth, the Way.
By which we may so enter in, to eternal life dear Lord with You,
Thanks to all You've done for us and continue each day to do.

Beyond The Valley !

Beyond the valley of the shadow of death, beyond the grief and pain,
There is relief for all who believe, that Christ does rule and reign,
For He conquered death upon the Cross, He died for the sins of you and me,
To from the bondage of sin and death, to set all who believe then free.

The Mount Of Crucifixion !!!

On the Mount of Crucifixion, Jesus Christ died for you and me
On the Mount of Crucifixion, yes on the Cross of Calvary,
Christ bore all of our sin, yes all the sin of fallen man
So that we would be redeemed and before our Father God in time stand.
Not to receive judgement to be sentenced, to be cast for eternity one day
Into eternal damnation, by not responding to Jesus Christ the Way,
But rather to receive from Him Blessings, to be crowned as children of the King
For all of eternity yet to come, redeemed in Love and Mercy from sin.

On the Mount of Crucifixion, Jesus Christ died on that awful day
On the Mount of Crucifixion, He so suffered so that you and I may,
By claiming the Power of His Blood, over the power of death and sin
Stand today redeemed by Grace, as children of the King.
So my friend know this today, my Lord Jesus Christ is beckoning
You to open the door of your heart to Him and today so allow Him in,
So that He may so become your Saviour, your Lord and King for eternity
If this is what you so desire, then now say this with me:

I confess I am a sinner Jesus, yes today it is true
There is no other way to salvation, other than the Cross through You
I confess I am a sinner my Jesus, forgive me of my sin I pray
I claim my salvation by Your Blood and now unto You I say.

Please come into my life Jesus, to become my Lord
Please come into my life today, Christ to be my King,
Please come into my life today, for I am a sinner indeed
And only You can set me free, forevermore from my sin.
By the Power of Your Blood, You shed for me in Love
Upon the Cross of Calvary, where You bore my sin one day
Please come into my life to fill up the emptiness within
Yes please come into my life now, so that I may, I pray.
Begin my new life in You my Lord, as a child of God today
Washed clean by Your Blood, from the power of all sin,
A new life in You, forevermore My Lord Jesus Christ
From now on and forever, as a child of the King. AMEN !!!

Thank You my Jesus, Thank You for becoming My Saviour, My Lord and My King today !!!
