Sugarloaf Rock !

I see as I stand looking along the coastline
The rugged coastline with its many bays,
The rocky outcrops coming out of the sea
The waves breaking over them each day.
I look across the channel to Sugarloaf Rock
At the bird life on the outcrop close by,
And marvel how on it any life can survive
A rocky outcrop, barren and dry.

Yet as I look closer at the surface of the rock
I see the amazing bird and plant life,
So exposed to the weather extremes each year
And yet still able to survive.
As I look down into the channel close by to me
I watch the water as it surges each way,
As it moves back and forth with such seeming ease
And then moves out into the bay.

As I look to the swell rolling towards the shore
I watch as it then forms a wave,
That comes in to break on the beach and the rocks
That together line each of the bays.
As I watch the waves breaking on the rocks and beach
And see the forces of nature in motion,
I look at the turbulence close to the shore
And marvel at the splendor of the ocean.

As I look at the bird life resting upon the rock
And the many flying very close by,
I marvel at nature in all its true splendor
And the ease with which the birds fly.
As I look at the plant life in its many forms
Both above and under the sea,
I am amazed at the many shapes and colours
And how together they live in harmony.
As I look at fish life in the rocky pools
I think of all the life in the sea,
And how the fish go darting to and fro
And with such seeming ease.
Nature has so many and varied wonders
That never cease to amaze me,
Creation in all its glory and splendour
As far as my eyes can see.
I marvel at God's master craftsmanship
In everything I can see before me,
And how together each part has its place
As they live together in harmony

The Karri Forrest !

As I travel through the forest today
As I look at the life all around,
I watch the birds flying very near by
And listen intently to their sound.

As the sunlight filters down through the branches
Of the trees all around me,
And finds its way to the plants on the ground
I am amazed with all that I see.

As all around is life in many forms
Many shades, shapes and colours,
That bring relief amidst the stresses of life
Where I can relax amidst natures wonders.

As I look intently at the rich undergrowth
That covers much of the forest floor,
Spot lit in patches by the filtering sunlight
I stand looking on with awe.

As I listen to the breeze blowing in the leaves
And hear the soft rustling sound,
I feel such peace and tranquility
Amidst all that I see around.

As I look up above and into the trees
And see the branches moving in the breeze,
It brings much pleasure to look at nature
With the sun filtering through the leaves.

As I notice the moisture on many of the leaves
That cause them to sparkle in the light,
To watch them as they move about
Brings to me sheer delight.

As I look at the detail of the plants and trees
I marvel at all that I see,
I feel overawed by the marvels of nature
That I see all around me.
