As I Sit On The Beach !

As I sit on the beach I marvel my Lord
At all that with my eyes I can see,
The many wonders of Your Creation Lord
That is here this day right before me
As I sit on the beach basking my Lord
In the sunshine coming from above,
I think O Lord of Your Grace and Mercy
Your unlimited and unfailing Love.
As I sit on the beach close to the water’s edge
The gentle waves lapping upon the shore,
And against the rocks jutting out into the sea
I marvel at Your Creation still more.
As I sit on the beach peering across the bay
A school of dolphins is passing me by,
Through the turquoise water close to the shoreline
Mirroring the wondrous bright blue sky.
As I sit on the beach I watch the clouds
That will bring much needed rain I pray,
Slowly rolling in from the west on the horizon
Making their way slowly across the bay.
As I sit on the shore looking afar
To where the rain has just begun to fall,
I feel compared with all I see across the bay
Quite insignificant and small.
As I sit on the beach looking to the north
I see a wooden cross standing alone on a hill,
I think of the salvation for all who believe
And yield their lives unto Your Will.
As I sit upon the beach this autumn day
Looking out far across the sea,
I wonder my Lord, what’s beyond the horizon
I wonder what in time You’ll ask of me.

A New Day, A New Hope !

Early in the morning Lord, the break of a new day
Sunrays streaming brightly, glistening across the bay,
Dispelling all the darkness, enabling me to see
Reminding me of my Lord, when You first spoke to me.
It reminds me my sweet Lord, of when You opened my eyes
To the beauty all around me, the land, the sea, the sky,
To natures’ immeasurable wonders, like each book of Your Word
Each in its own unique way, like each book of Your Word.
It reminds me my sweet Lord, of when I first came to know
Of and all about You, and our friendship began to grow,
Of how You were and are ever, close beside me every day
And in my time of every need, are but a moment away.
It reminds me my sweet Lord, of when You brought to me true hope
A hope that is everlasting, that’s enabled me to cope,
With life’s many varied hardships, I’ve so yet had to face
Yet in them all You’ve upheld me Lord, in Your Arms of Grace.

It reminds me my sweet Lord of the Promises made for all who believe
All You ask of us is to acknowledge You and from You thankfully receive,
All the blessings You’ve bestowed upon us, yet we often fail to do
Acknowledge they’ve been poured out to us, in love my Lord from You.
It reminds me my sweet Lord of Your Goodness and of how You died for me
When with You hung my sinful nature, upon the Cross of Calvary,
Where Satan was utterly defeated, once and forevermore
And our relationship with You Lord is being restored to what it was before. It reminds me my Lord of how, that in time all darkness will cease
Instead of life’s many turmoils, we’ll have everlasting peace,
Instead of deaths painful sting, we’ll have life that is without end
With You our Risen Saviour, my Lord, my God, my friend.

The Wonders of Your Creation !

I thank You Lord for the wonders of Your creation
Its marvels, its grandeurs, I delight to see,
I thank You Lord as I watch in awe
At part of Your creation, each day around me.

As I listen to the sound that the wind does bring
As through the trees it does blow each day,
It speaks to me again of Your creation
As I heed to all that to me it does say.

As I watch the birds darting to and fro
I listen to the tunes as they sing,
It brings delight to my ears to hear them in song
It’s as if they’re praising You my Lord and King.
